Ford has announced that the 2014 Ford Transit is going to get a more fuel efficient 3.2 litre I-5 turbo diesel engine under its bonnet. It is claimed that this engine will produce a total output of 197 hp and the peak torque will be 347 lb-ft. It is said that 90 percent of the torque will be available between 1,700 rpm and 3,500 rpm, and this powerful Ford engine<\/strong><\/a> is going to be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, sending the power to rear wheel drive.<\/p>\n

It is strongly believed that the combined economy will be 20 mpg, although the EPA<\/strong><\/a> fuel economy figures are still to be announced.
