Ford Transit Caused Traffic Delays on A19

A Ford Transit van overturned on A19 flyover

A Ford Transit van which was powered by a diesel engine, overturned on the Tees flyover and caused delays on the A19.

This incident took place on the southbound carriageway between the A1046 Haverton Hill roundabout and the A66 turnoff and when the ambulance was called on the scene, it attended a 44-year-old woman passenger who was suffering neck pains but no serious injuries were sustained. The male driver is reported as a 41-year-old who luckily escaped any sort of injuries in this unfortunate incident.

“There is one vehicle involved. A white Ford Transit van flipped over on the flyover. It’s currently blocking the road. Traffic is able to pass, but it’s slow. A woman is suffering neck pains but it’s not believed to be serious. An ambulance has attended,” said a Cleveland Police spokesman.

In another accident involving yet another Ford Transit, it killed a horse after a dreadful collision on Tuesday morning. Gwent Police said that at 7.51 am, they were called with a report of a road traffic collision involving a horse and a Ford Transit van on Mountain Road, Abertysswg.

A spokesperson said that although the van was damaged badly, but fortunately the driver came out with no injuries, the horse did not survive the collision though and died at the spot.

At the same time, on the A472 at Maesycwmmer, another crash between Peugeot 206 and Renault Clio took place, where the passenger of the Peugeot was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport.
