Ford Transit Connect Wagon, another Passenger Carrier

Ford Transit Connect Wagon

Ford Transit Connect Wagon is a capable passenger carrier with EcoBoost engines

Ford Transit Connect is basically a smaller version of the Transit and widely used by business fleets in the UK and across Europe. Ford has given a fresh look to the Transit Connect Wagon to facilitate seven passengers. It is an MPV variant that has been designed as a passenger vehicle. This model will be offered in both short and long wheelbase configurations.

It is as useful as full-size vans are whereas Ford Transit cargo vans are not even suitable for day-care services and flower deliveries etc. However, the new Ford Connect is very much suitable for this purpose and now even suitable for passenger mobility. All-new Transit Connect Wagon is ideal for passenger mobility, school kids and as family carrier.

In short wheelbase, it offers five seats and seven seats for the long wheelbase configurations. It is a larger TC Wagon that has a wheelbase of 121-inches.

All new Ford Transit Connect Wagon is powered by a 2.5-Litre four-cylinder Ford EcoBoost engine as a standard power option. It has a power output of 175bhp that clocks 9.5seconds from 0-62 miles per hour. There is another version available with similar power output, a 1.6-Litre EcoBoost engine. However, it is much faster in daily driving which results in estimated 8.8 second sprint from 0-62 miles per hour. This 1.6-Litre engine offers 178bhp and impressive torque even from lower revs that make the car even more powerful.

There is a new 2.5-Litre four-cylinder engine offered for 2014 Transit Connect and will be available in both LPG/CNG configurations. It includes hardened intake valves, valve seats and bi-fuel manifolds. It is highly likely that the Transit Connect Wagon will be the next popular commercial vehicle and a passenger van.
